Amtico installation
The installation of Amtico is straightforward and follows the same guidelines that apply to all quality resilient tile floors. Good preparation is essential for a trouble-free installation. Amtico can be laid on concrete, timber, stone and many other sub-floors, which have been suitably prepared. Site conditions must comply with the relevant national regulations.
Amtico is not suitable for external installation or unheated locations but it can be used with under-fl oor heating providing it is switched off for 48 hours before and after laying (the maximum permitted surface temperature is 27°C/81°F). We recommend that the installed floor should not be allowed to cool below 13°C during its service life.
Tiles, adhesive and sub-floor must be allowed to stabilise to a consistent temperature between 18°C and 27°C (64°F and 81°F) for a period of 24 hours before and after installation. Tiles must be stored flat.
Following installation, Amtico should be protected from heavy traffic for 24 hours and must not be washed for 48 hours. Always follow other manufacturers’ recommendations when using their proprietary materials for sub-floor preparation.

A few different specifications of stripping too, again please feel free to contact us prior to your online order should you have any questions.
All of the Karndean borders and motifs are also avaliable to buy but for the time being we prefare these orders to be taken over the phone so as ensure colour selection within these components are always correct.

Karndean
Good morning
This week will see the inclusion of all of Karndeans ranges to the website.
Lots of great deals to be had on art select and da Vinci.
It's only two more weeks to wait until all the new Spacia and bespoke Amtico colours are launched.
Busy busy busy... Our dedicated Southport Amtico showroom will be getting updated stands shortly.

Amtico product launch - march 2011
Hello
Today I attended the new Amtico product launch in Manchester. Dramatic changes to the Spacia range, it's now split into a woods, stone and abstract. Lots of tile sizes now available too, more details to follow once I've studied the brochure but about 70 colours now in Spacia.
Essentials has been trimmed down (again) to 40 colours and some new ranges introduced to the bespoke end of the range.
A very positive day and my future blogs will go into more detail. All the new products will be available to purchase from April 4th.

Welcome to the Pearson Floorings Blog
My name is Karl Pearson and together with my wife Jen we run Pearson Floorings Ltd. Established back in 1967 as a small flooring contractors business based in Liverpool. Now 44 years later we are based in Southport and operate the areas only approved Amtico showroom. Our dedicated showroom is open daily and displays all of the current amtico ranges.
These days amtico has a few different product price brackets, the entry level Spacia range, the mid level essentials range and the bespoke standard range. As a company we have been selling Amtico for over 30 years, as an individual I have been selling it for over 20, I hope this blog will enable us to add another string to our bow in customer service and satisfaction.
